Inspired by one of the greatest living explorers, who has been a Panerai ambassador for over 15 years, the new Submersible Mike Horn Edition is not only a professional diving watch, but also a compendium of innovative solutions to make a contribution to safeguarding our planet.

The care taken to conserve resources concerns above all the materials of which the watch is made. The Panerai Submersible Mike Horn Edition is a professional diving watch, water-resistant to a depth of 300 metres, with a special case 47 mm in diameter made of EcoTitanium™, a material first introduced into the world of high quality watchmaking by Panerai, obtained not from the exploitation of natural resources but from recycled titanium. The parts made of EcoTitanium™ are the case, the device protecting the winding crown, the bezel and also the back, engraved on which is Mike Horn’s signature and an image inspired by the creatures which inhabit our seas. The deep blue strap, light, strong and resistant, is also made of a material designed to minimize environmental impact, obtained from recycled PET.

The watch is operated by the P.9010 automatic calibre with a power reserve of three days, entirely developed and created by the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel, which operates in compliance with the strictest international environmental standards. The building has been designed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to zero, and it is equipped with state-of-the-art energy-saving devices and equipment for recovering and reusing waste materials.
